Jennifer Gulbrandsen is a mother of three kids and splits her time between Atlanta and Chicago. In 2009, she decided to do something with her love of writing and 'went for it' so to speak by landing her first gig as a Pop Culture reporter for the Naperville Examiner and as an Arts and Entertainment reviewer for Buzz Magazine.
From there, Jennifer's recaps of reality shows got noticed and turned into bigger gigs with the hit blog Reality Zen With Jenn with Chicago Tribune's blog site Chicago Now, and recapping television shows Dancing With the Stars, Jersey Shore, and American Idol for Yahoo! TV and Yahoo! omg. As a contributor for the Yahoo! Contributor Network, Jennifer won several awards including 2010 Rising Star, and Top Contributor for 2010-2013.
After her time with Yahoo! Jennifer decided to focus on her own writing projects. She continued to write on her site, Just Say Jenn! eventually bringing two million readers to the blog before stopping new content on the site in June 2014 to focus on other projects. In February 2014, Jennifer along with her writing partner Kristi McCarty, created the Wine and Sass! podcast and website. The podcast was soon picked up and discovered by WLLS Radio, Wine and Sass! ended in August 2015.
Jennifer decided to begin blogging, vlogging, and writing again after a 7 month hiatus, and with the help of BDP in San Diego, relaunched this site as Your Moment of Jenn which includes blogging, a YouTube channel, and weekly call in radio show on Blog Talk Radio and other syndicates.
An avid competitive age-group runner, Jennifer has been featured in Mizuno's "Why I Run" campaign, Women's Running Magazine, GNC's "Beat Average" campaign, and was named a Fitfluential Ambassador in September 2014. Jennifer retired from competitive running in 2016 due to injury, but has found a new passion for writing about her active lifestyle through exploring other avenues such as yoga and dance.
Writing fiction has always been one of Jennifer's passions having had several short stories published on Yahoo! Voices over the years, and at the urging of her readers, turned a fan fiction piece on Just Say Jenn! about a deranged former child star into the fun novella Borrowed. After publishing The Mom Files, a collection of funny essays about motherhood and Six Snippets, a collection of short stories she's written, January 2015, The Secret Life of Lies was released, Jennifer's first full-length novel, and was soon in contention for a 2015 CWA Book of the Year award.
